Upway is the leading platform selling refurbished e-bikes in Europe and the US. In two years, we have given a new life to over 20,000 e-bikes, and we are pursuing our mission to add more e-bikes on the road.

Upway is currently recruiting for the position of Finance Manager. This role presents a unique opportunity to drive significant impact on building the finance team and function from scratch. The role includes taking ownership of building the proper accounting systems and processes, designing and executing financial reporting and governance, collaborating with our business leaders on all sides of the world, and supporting the founders on ad-hoc finance / investors related projects.

• Define the vision for the finance function and build the finance team from scratch
• Set-up the accounting systems and processes across France, Germany, Belgium and the US in order to deliver a clean a proper financial vision on a monthly basis
• Manage Upway treasury in the most efficient way.
• Design and run a regular finance governance, including reporting, planning and re-forecasting, to support the business with the most accurate financial view.
• Be a thought partner to founders and business leaders, in order to support them making the best business decisions.
• Support founders on investors relationships and related projects.
• Initiate and develop banking relationships as we scale the company in order to optimize our debt structure and return on capital.
• Bring financial insights to the leadership team.
• Build a strong finance culture within the team.

• Strong academic background
• 5+ years of relevant experience (eg. Operations, Consulting or Finance), with 2+ years in Finance
• Fluency / Native in English. French and / or German speaking is a plus but not required
• Autonomy and ability to operate in high pace environments
• Willingness to take total ownership of topics and be accountable for results
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
